The Singleness of Fedora C.

Meet Fedora C.—an opinionated, outspoken, sometimes politically incorrect, divorcee who blogs about her new direction in life as a
middle-aged single person. In actuality, Fedora C. isn't a real person; she's a prototype or model of a class of single women just like her.

Tell 'em you heard it from your girl, Fedora C.

Who Is Fedora C.?

Right from the door, let me school you about Fedora C. The chick’s not for real, okay? Well, she’s for real in a manner of speaking. Fedora is actually symbolic of a class of single women just like her. So, I guess you’d call her a prototype or model.

The name “Fedora C.” tells the story behind the character, because the name is an acronym of the individual factors that make up her particular kind of singleness: (F)orty something career girl; (E)mpty nester;
(D)
ivorcee; (O)ver 20 years invested in a failed marriage; (R)etro DPR (Dating Point of Reference); and (A)frican-American. The C stands for
(C)hristian and celibate.

Like most single women out there, Fedora C. is looking for that special guy. However, now that she’s sticking her toes in the waters of the post Y2K world of dating, she’s discovering that this might to be a tad more difficult than she expected. You see, taken individually, Fedora C.’s single profile is no biggie. But, when you put together the total package, you get a woman on the dating scene with an interesting challenge ahead of her. And . . . she’s blogging about it!

Don’t worry. Even if you’re not like our prototype, go ahead and read her views on singleness. Whether single or married, you’ll at least find that Fedora C. has a refreshing view of the single life and she tells it in a way that is charming, entertaining, and quite humorous.

So, without further ado, meet Fedora C. . . .
